Tax Shareholder - Kevin Lightheart is the shareholder in charge of tax at Lightheart|Sanders.  Kevin brings with him over 20 years of experience in the tax preparation industry.  He has spent time working for national and local CPA firms.  He enjoys the small firm atmosphere of being able to help other business owners and individuals successfully navigate the ever changing tax laws.

Professional Experience and Education - Kevin graduated from Brigham Young University with a Masters in Accountancy with an emphasis in Taxation in 1990.  Upon graduation he worked in the tax department of Grant Thornton in Portland Oregon.  He obtained his Oregon CPA license in 1993.  In 1997, Kevin moved to Mississippi and joined Pace and Company.  He became a shareholder in Pace and Company in 2001.  Kevin received his Certified Valuation Analyst designation in 2000.  He has served on the Mississippi Society of CPA's Business Valuation Committee since 2001.  He served as Chapter President of the Mississippi Chapter of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts from 2006 to 2009.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.

Personal Profile - Kevin is a proud father of 4 wonderful children, 3 girls and 1 boy.  They enjoy traveling to amusement parks, especially Disney World.  Kevin is enjoys playing a variety of sports.  He enjoys playing golf whenever possible.  He is also a long distance runner having completed a half marathon and is training to run in the St. George Marathon in October of 2011.
